Abstract
The presence of a sufficiently high level of mobility of armoured vehicles is a prerequisite for the successful solution of special tasks. First of all, we are talking about cross-country ability and speed, which require comparison and selection of appropriate options for upgrading existing models of this equipment according to these characteristics, which have a significant impact on the results of performing combat missions in a complex combat situation
The article considers topical issues related to the formulation of hypotheses regarding the features for statistical comparison of the implementation of armoured vehicle modernisation options in order to improve their speed and cross-country ability by determining the probabilities of this implementation of options by statistical hypothesis testing. At this stage, the uncertainty of the real conditions of modernisation of the options will be overcome due to the blurred time spent on the implementation of modernisation options, due to the natural intersection of competing hypotheses that characterise the options.
Based on the cross-country ability and speed of armoured vehicles, their manoeuvrability, i.e., in general, their mobility, is further assessed, taking into account the time spent on its improvement.
Keywords: armoured vehicles, speed and cross-country ability, manoeuvrability, mobility.
